Almost everything else you earn is yours alone, or your nation’s. The World Ledger is the
server’s own scoreboard: four counters that add up what every player has ever done, and pay out
to everyone who helped each time the world crosses a threshold.
It never resets. It is not tied to a season — a season just adds a bonus on
top.
| Counter | What it sums |
|---|---|
| Kills | Every mob every player has ever killed |
| Calamities slain | Every calamity boss the server has put down |
| Items forged | Every successful forge craft |
| Titles unlocked | Every title earned across the server |
Each counter has its own ladder of thresholds. Cross one and that tier is written into the
ledger permanently — it can never be paid out twice, even if the total later drops.
Legacy Points, split by share. Each tier has a point pool, and every player
with a non-zero count gets a slice of it proportional to how much of the total they contributed.
Contribute 20% of the kills and you take roughly 20% of the kills-tier pool. Anyone who
contributed at all gets at least 1 point, however small their share.
You do not need to be online. Payouts are keyed to your account, so you collect whether you were
there for the moment or not.
Nation ladder points, while a season is running. On top of the Legacy payout, a second pool is
banked to the nation ladder and split between nations by their members’ combined
share. If you are not in a nation your Legacy is unaffected — only the ladder half of the reward
has nowhere to go.
Pool sizes and thresholds are set by your server (defaults start around 10,000 kills, 10 calamities,
500 forged items and 200 titles for the first tier, but these are placeholders meant to be tuned to
the server’s population).
Open the Codex, go to the Stats tab, and look for the World Ledger group.
Each counter shows three things:
Kills 412,908 / 1,000,000 (you 3.2%)
the running total, the next threshold, and your own share of it. Once a counter has cleared every
configured tier it reads complete instead of a threshold.
The number refreshes on a short server-side cycle, so it can trail the live total by up to a minute.
The forge and titles rows are hidden if those systems are switched off on your server.
Three things happen at once:
The announcement names the threshold and the tier, for example: “The world has recorded 100,000
kills. Ledger tier II is written.”
