A gothic titan of stone with a bell in its spire, walking on four buttress legs. It is a
calamity boss with a clock attached: it does not wait for you. It picks a
target and marches, and if it arrives, the event is lost.
It is opt-in. The server must add it to the calamity boss list before it can appear, so it may
not exist on your server. Server admins can also start it via /etadmin calamity.
If the core is lost mid-march, it turns toward world spawn.
It has four legs, each with its own health (1,500 by default, server-configurable, scaled up
like other calamity bosses).
| Attack | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bell Toll | A shockwave around the whole body, every 12 seconds — every 6 seconds while it kneels. Radius 16 blocks, 50 damage |
| Stomp | Each standing leg stomps when someone gets close to its foot. Radius 4 blocks, 70 damage, with a short telegraph |
Both are damage only, with no block damage, and they can hit any hostile creature in range, not just
players. Numbers are defaults and server-configurable.
When it reaches its target, it tolls once and crumbles.
Killing it while kneeling next to a core is a normal win — arrival never happens.
Killing it grants the standard calamity payout — crate keys for those who
contributed, an extra reward for the top damage dealer, catalysts, and the event title.
It also drops the Vesper Bell Shard, a boss relic. Infuse it onto
leggings for the Vesper engraving: fall below half health and a bell
tolls, knocking back and slowing every enemy close to you.
