The Hollow Choir is the third custom World Calamity boss, and it is built
for groups. A stationary Choir Heart hangs at the centre, ringed by orbiting Hollow
Voices. The Voices are the fight.
All numbers below are defaults and server-configurable. Calamity health and damage multipliers
apply on top.
While 3 or more Voices are alive, the Heart is warded: only 15% of any damage you
deal to it directly gets through. Hitting the warded Heart is close to pointless.
Instead, hit the Voices:
Voices have 300 HP each. The Heart has 6,000 HP and heavy armour.
Voices never attack you directly. They sing. Every Voice within 14 blocks that can
see you applies its debuff each second — one of:
The longer you stay in a Voice’s sight, the stronger its song gets (one step roughly every
8 seconds, up to three levels). To stop a song, break line of sight behind cover — or
kill the singer.
The Heart has one attack. Every 8 seconds, if anyone is within 8 blocks, it
telegraphs for a second and then pulses damage to everyone in that radius. Don’t stand on top
of it between burn windows.
| Heart health | Voices | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| 100% | 6 | — |
| Below 66% | 5 (fresh) | The choir re-splits: every Voice is replaced |
| Below 33% | 4 (fresh) | Re-split again; the Dirge comes faster and songs escalate twice as quickly |
The Heart is briefly immune (about 2 seconds) during each re-split.
The Hollow Choir pays like any other calamity boss — see World Calamity.
Your reward credit comes from damage that reaches the Heart, which includes your share of
transferred Voice damage. Every qualifying fighter also gets a Resonance Shard
boss relic, and the top damage dealer gets two.
