The contract board is a server-wide notice board. Nations post jobs; anyone can take them.
It is the main way nations interact with players who are not their citizens.
Open it with /etcontract gui.
Two kinds of posting share the board:
A nation posts a request for a specific item and count, backed by a reward: cash from the
treasury, an item stack escrowed from the poster’s own inventory, or both.
Anyone may fulfil a delivery contract, including players with no nation at all. That is the
point — it is a labour market, not an internal task list.
The only restriction is war: if your nation is on the opposite side of a live war from the
poster, whether you can fulfil their contract depends on a server setting.
Item matching is by type and count only. Durability, enchantments, custom names and
components are all ignored. A worn-out enchanted pickaxe satisfies a contract for one pickaxe.
Post accordingly.
A nation posts a bounty on a named, currently-online player, funded the same way as a
delivery contract. Whoever kills that player first is paid automatically — there is no claim
step, no proof to submit.
Four rules keep bounties honest:
Two further rules on top-ups: only the owning nation may top up its own bounty, and top-ups
are cash only.
Bounties cannot be hand-delivered — you cannot “fulfil” one by walking up to the board.
By default a posted bounty is broadcast to the server. Some servers run it silently, or
send the target a direct warning instead. Assume you will know when there is a price on your
head, but check with your admins.
You must be in a founded nation and hold a high enough rank in it — your server sets the
minimum.
Open /etcontract gui. If you are allowed to post, the header shows + Contract and
+ Bounty buttons. They open a form where you pick the requirement and the reward directly
from your own inventory grid — click a slot to choose it.
Nothing moves when you click. The form uses ghost slots, so closing it can never lose or
duplicate an item. The escrow only happens when the post actually goes through.

Commands are the only route that works from a console or command block.
Contracts expire on a timer. Cancelled, expired and disbanded-nation contracts all refund the
same way: cash back to the treasury, escrowed items back to the player who posted them.
Bounties refund identically.
Nations have a cap on how many contracts they may have open at once, and some servers block
posting entirely during a war.
These are not the same thing as the bounties inside a war:
| Contract bounty | War bounty | |
|---|---|---|
| Needs a war | No | Yes |
| Who can post | Any member of sufficient rank | The Sovereign only |
| Who can collect | Anyone outside the posting nation | Only someone on the placing side |
| Pays | The escrowed reward | Cash plus war score |
| Ends | On kill, cancel or expiry | When the war resolves |
Both can be open on the same victim at once. A qualifying kill during a war pays both. That
is intentional.
